The Old Alternative For Germany
The wheel of Samsara doesn’t distinguish alternatives.
Every story has happened in the past
and whoever tries to sell it as a new rebirth
is manipulating the mind of those in struggle
eager to listen an ideal, suitting the immediate needs.
The Germany of the Holocaust
and the weight of shame has the Samsara
knocking again on its doors with the old extreme nationalism;
embracing the violence of xenophobia;
rejecting the cycle of change in a globalized planet.
The alternative, which is an old motto
preaches for a liberal, conservative democracy;
three words mirroring each other
as if wondering who put them together;
The alternative is not liberal, not on paper,
nor in the words they sell.
However, Ms. Weidel contradicts the basic program:
She’s married not in a traditional, conservative way:
What a dishonor for a true liberal and a bad German example!
What is then the alternative?
The century is almost at its middle
yet those who voted did so not out of ideals,
but in protest against those who are in true power.
The path already taken a hundred years earlier is set;
Enemies had to be found to blame
the lack of commitment from those in the Bundestag.
Crisis after crisis, division after division,
fuel the basic program that takes back a nation
to the darkness of the Final Solution.
They won’t admit, Ms. Weidel or Mr. Chrupalla;
they’re too smart to manipulate and sell
the alternative as a new route of change;
This time is for the Muslim or everyone that’s not blond with blue eyes;
it’s the outsider that represents everything but the German way.
What is the authentic one,
Bavarian, Saxon or Prussian?
Goethe or Humboldt didn’t pursue one,
nor Luther with the Christian-Judeo culture,
he protested the whole institution
and Nietzche abolished the whole ideal.
Russia is once again a convenient friend,
Although they know that having a war criminal on their side
is more lucrative than standing against the oppressor.
Germany needs a war to regain the dreadful development
that a hundred years earlier occurred to invade half a continent.
However, the Samsara shows us
That Russia and Germany were friends
Until the square moustache decided
To invade the mortal cold as Napoleon tried and failed;
Is that the already doomed plan for a greater Germany?
To fulfill this madness,
Any union project must be dismissed.
To the trash-bin the European project!
It’s a duty for Germans to stand alone
In their authentic ways and language.
Oh, what to do then with globalization?
There’s no way to go back to the 1930s;
to cut themselves off from the world
and stop human beings from piercing their imaginary borders;
This is beyond foolishness!
The cycle of Samsara laughs
at those who live in oblivion,
at those who have lost their cherished families
in a war ignited by these same ideals.
Waking up seems too late now.
The alternative is preaching for an old system
who died in 1945 and killed six million of an ethnic group
that’s now exterminating those who represent the modern enemy.
But, we’re afraid to call them by the name, the Adolf’s adorers;
the hidden swastika is the hidden alternative marketing;
Be aware of these words, my friend,
if one must keep the power in check
it mustn’t be through the excessive, blind emotion of frustration,
because that’ll lead to a bigger one, an existential one.
And when the bombs start bursting,
when trains start running into gas chambers,
when the bread is moldy,
when the world is now rejecting you for what you’re standing…
Then you realize that the alternative wasn’t a real one,
but just an old fashion to bewail more war and sorrow.
